Omar Shamsi, MD

After completing a fellowship in Nutrition/Obesity Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center, Omar Shamsi has returned home to pursue his interest in obesity medicine. He strives to provide the best care possible for every person he sees.  It is his goal to help motivate them, and prepare them medically, mentally and physically for the road towards a healthy lifestyle.  Currently he is the medical director for the Bariatric/Weight Management Centers for Edward/Elmhurst Hospitals.  When not practicing bariatric medicine, he enjoys time at home with his wife and three kids.
