Silvana Pannain, MD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Chicago and the Director of Chicago Weight, a weight management program at the same Institution. She is double board certified in Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine and a certified cardiologist in Italy with extensive experience in managing patients with excess weight and related comorbidities. Dr. Pannain has conducted clinical research on the effect of poor sleep and obstructive sleep apnea on weight gain, diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors. Dr. Pannain serves as an active member of the American Board of Obesity Medicine Maintenance of Certification Committee, the University of Chicago Committee on Molecular Metabolism and Nutrition and the Illinois Obesity Society.
